Just a few days back, Microsoft released the next generation Xbox One. The sale of Xbox One forms a new selling record of 1 Million Sales worldwide in less than 24 hours making it biggest Xbox launch ever. But some Xbox One units are experiencing some hardware issues as reported by users. The main issue that users are facing is a grinding noise when they try to play a game from disk. Sony PlayStation 4 which was released 2 weeks ago also experienced some systems not functioning error but the error was affecting as low as 1% console units. Microsoft’s hardware problem is not effecting a very large number of consoles either.
Microsoft has brought attention to the hardware problem. Microsoft has promised to replace such defective units. Moreover, such users will also get a game free from Microsoft. The reward will be from one of the four exclusive launch titles. So when you replace your defected Xbox One unit, you will get a free license of either Forza Motorsport 5, Ryse, Zoo Tycoon or Dead Rising 3.
Microsoft also mentioned,
‘The issue is affecting a very small number of Xbox One customers, We’re working directly with those affected to get a replacement console to them as soon as possible through our advance exchange program. Rest assured, we are taking care of our customers.’
‘Any customer who believes they are experiencing an issue with their Xbox One should reach out to us. There are many avenues available for customers to get in touch with us including:

- On Twitter with @XboxSupport
- There are also Help and diagnostics on the console by saying ‘Xbox Help’
Microsoft Customer Support suggested that people should return their faulty units to Amazon for quicker replacement. Amazon will replace the unit and will send the faulty unit to Microsoft to repair it.
