Apple Event unveils OS X Mavericks, available today as a FREE download

So as expected, Apple has unveiled the next version to OS X i.e. OS X Mavericks. The next version of OS X comes with a number of improvements and features. OS X Mavericks will be available FREE for download from today. It is the first Mac OS offered completely free. The new OS X can be installed on any Mac device dating 2003.

As said by Craig Federighi, Apple’s SVP of Software Engineering:

“Over the last few years, we’ve reengineered our development processand [with the app store], the way we distribute. Today, we’ll revolutionize pricing, Today, we announce a new era of the Mac.”

A demo of OS X Mavericks was also shown, displaying the features of the new OS X. As reflected by the demo, the new OS X offers improved battery life for laptops making the Macbooks significantly different from other Windows laptops. Moreover, OS X Mavericks also offer better RAM management to enhance performance. Features like enhanced multi-display support, integrated graphics and interactive notifications are also the part of OS X Mavericks.
