A Plague tale: innocence is an action-adventure game developed by Asobo Studio for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The premise of the game follows the story of two siblings, Amicia and her younger brother Hugo, fighting to survive during the first phase of the Hundred Years’ War and Black Death. This solution comes straight from the Steam community forums where numerous people have complained about this issue. Reportedly, the developers are working on an official fix which will be dispatched in an upcoming update. However, for now, here is something that you can do manually to fix the problem.
How To Fix A Plague Tale: Innocence Black Screen Issue on PC
- Run Steam and click LIBRARY.
- Right click on A Plague Tale: Innocence > Properties.
- Click the LOCAL FILES tab and click on the BROWSE LOCAL FILES button.
- Right click on APlagueTaleInnocence_x64.exe application > Properties.
- Click the Compatibility tab.
- Check Disable fullscreen optimizations and click OK.
For whatever reason, this fix has worked for many people. Apparently, the game runs better when fullscreen optimization is disabled. Try it for yourself and let me know how it goes.
