A Plague tale: innocence is an action-adventure game developed by Asobo Studio for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The premise of the game follows the story of two siblings, Amicia and her younger brother Hugo, fighting to survive during the first phase of the Hundred Years’ War and Black Death. A Plague Tale: Innocence is a visually appetizing game, however, as is the case with many new PC releases, it isn’t the most stable. In this article, I will show you how to fix Plague Tale: Innocence Memory Crash Error on PC.

If you have been playing the game on 8GB memory or slightly more then chances are that the game might have crashed owing to the “Out of memory” error. Fortunately, there is an easy workaround for this issue. We will be using virtual memory settings to make the game run smoother.

How To Fix A Plague Tale: Innocence Memory Crash On PC

  • Open Control Panel of your Windows 10. You can do this by typing control panel in the search bar next to the windows logo on bottom left.
  • Now click on system and Security and then click on system.
  • Now click on Advanced System Settings to the left.
  • Once you are in “System properties” window, click on settings under “Advanced tab”.
  • On Performance Options Window under advanced click on Change.
  • Once you are in the virtual memory window uncheck Automatically manage paging file size for all drives.
  • Now, from the list, you will have to select the drive on which Windows 10 is installed.which is C in most cases. Click to select the Custom size button.
  • Now type the minimum and maximum size of the Pagefile in megabytes (MB) according to the physical memory present in your computer.

Question: How to calculate the initial and max values? 
Answer: The initial size is one and a half (1.5) x the amount of total system memory. Maximum size is three (3) x the initial size. So, in this system we have 8 GB (1 GB = 1,024 MB x 8 = 8192 MB) of memory. The initial size would be 1.5 x 8192 = 12288 MB and the maximum size would be 3 x 12288= 36864 MB.
