Samsung Galaxy S8 Expected Features, Rumors and Leaks

We all know that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 devices started to explode and Samsung had to discontinue the device for safety reason. It is now a crime to carry the phone in the airplane.

After Samsung discontinued the Galaxy Note 7, it speeded up the Galaxy S7 productions to match the customers needs as Samsung expected that customers will move to Galaxy S7 after the failure of Galaxy Note 7.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is not far either, only a few months are left until the announcement of Galaxy S8. Samsung fans have their eyes on the Galaxy S8 and they are eager to know that what will the Samsung’s new flagship offer.

Here are some of the rumors, leaks and expected features of the Samsung Galaxy S8.

Display:

According to rumors, the phone will come in 2 display sizes. One model will have a 5.1-inch screen and the other model will have a 5.5-inch screen. The 5.5-inch version can be a good replacement for galaxy note 7.

Both models will have a curved screen and Samsung is not planning to launch a flat screen model. That is OK, because people love the curved screen phones more than the normal ones.

The screen will cover the 90% of the device’s front. The new display might have the stunning 4K resolution. This will be the first Samsung device to have 4K resolution. 4K resolution will result into a great VR experience.

Memory and Processor:

 

The Galaxy S8 will have 6 GB of RAM. The US version of the phone will have the Snapdragon 830 chipset which may be in production by Qualcomm. Other models, including the international model, will have Samsung’s own Exynos chip.

Camera:

The phone might have a dual lens camera. There will be a 12 MP + 13 MP rear camera which will capture the stunning photos. It might use the technology the latest iPhone 7 used with the dual cameras, in which one lens is used for optical zoom.

  • The phone will be waterproof just like the Samsung Galaxy S7.
  • It will have a USB-C port.
  • It will support fast charging (hope it does not explode this time).
  • It will be waterproof, like the Galaxy S7.
  • It will launch with the latest build of Android Nougat.
  • Home button will be embedded under the glass. It might be just a touch button.

Availability:

According to sources, the phone will be announced in February 2017 and released in March 2017. Price will be somewhere near to the launch price of Samsung Galaxy S7.
