Google Play Services has now been updated to version 4.4. The update has now started rolling out on handsets. The Google Play Services 4.4 update comes with some notable features.
The update have got some new features to the APIs for Maps, Street View, Game Services, Mobile Ads and Wallet API. These new APIs also can detect running and walking. Google is bringing more and more features to its Play Services. You can learn more about the update at Android Developers blog.

Have not received the update yet? Well, you can now get the update manually. Here is the procedure to grab the update:
- Get the Google Play Services 4.4 apk ( Source 1 | Source 2 | Source 3 ).
- Move the .apk file to your handset via USB cable.
- Enable the installation of third party apps on your handset. To do so, head to Developers Options.
- Install the apk and get your hands on the latest update.
