Rumors: Ryzen 2 and Raven Ridge are coming in Q1 2018

The delayed Raven Ridge, which was announced to be released in late 2017, is now rumored to be released in Q1 of 2018.

According to japanese dealers, Ryzen 2 and Raven Ridge for desktop is not expected in Jan, 2018 but, later.

Most probably in March or somewhere around it, and with it, Ryzen 2 is scheduled to arrive too.

These new APUs, are not only upgraded from their previous generation, but also, AMD increased their performance drastically, with the transition to 12nm production, Zen processor upgraded to Zen 2 architecture and it will enter in AM4 socket with Matisse the following year.

Pinnacle Ridge To inherit Summit Ridge 2018 in socket AM4, with that, the updated new chipsets X470 and B450 are going to inherit base AM4 chipset. All these products are scheduled for March, according to GDM.

Alongside AMD’s upcoming 2nd Generation, Ryzen CPUs, the company is also introducing a brand new 400 series chipsets, which are expected to begin shipping in January, in time for Pinnacle Ridge to arrive.

The Desktop APU is late

As stated before, the AMD APUs are delayed, and instead of three notebooks, which were announced, we only got two available. If rumors are true, then not too long ago, we shall be witnessing them.

It is said from Japan, Pinnacle Ridge and Raven Ridge are parallel to each other to be available to market for the socket AM4 motherboards.

As AMD Bristol Ridge is already in market, which was released in Summer 2016, AMD’s plans to grab market with these upgrades and give serious competition to Intel once again.

As CES 2018 is two weeks away, all shall be cleared then and we hope to see good performance from AMD.
