PlayStation 5 Specs and Release Date Details Coming Late 2018

Sony PlayStation 5

After the announcement of the Xbox One X by Microsoft which is currently the most powerful console to exist. A lot of people started wondering what was Sony gonna do? Will it reveal something as well? Will it a PlayStation 5? When is it coming? and so on and so on.

The Interview

Shawn Layden, the CEO of Sony was asked in interview with Golem.de if PlayStation 4 Pro could replace the PlayStation 4? If it would get games that the standard PlayStation wouldn’t? Shawn Layden replied that this will never happen, the only difference between the PS4 Pro and the standard PS4 is that the Pro has 4K and HDR. And that the Pro has larger hard disk space.

PlayStation 5 Games

Furthermore people who own the standard PS4 will always get every game that comes to the PS4 Pro. Although the PS4 Pro version will run slightly better than the standard version and that’s about it.

Shawn Layden was also asked if the PlayStation 5 was coming and how long till it does. To which he replied “Yes. It will probably be some time.” Well we obviously knew that the PlayStation 5 would be a thing the question was one. After the Xbox One X anticipation rose for the PS5. The interview didn’t really give us a real date but led us to believe that it could sometime in the 3rd or 4th quarter of 2018 according to analysts.

PlayStation 5 Specs and Release Date:

We personally think it’ll be announced around late 2019 and released in 2020. PS5 is definitely going to be 4K or 8K. And we think Sony is waiting till 4K becomes a more common thing among American household so people can actually enjoy the full experience that the PS5 will bring, HDR included of course. But the question is what will Sony do that will set itself a part from the XBox One X? Other than their fabulous exclusive titles.
