After a number of rumours and leaks, among them some of them were true and some were not, Google added a new member in its Nexus family by finally announcing its latest Nexus 5 today. Here is a quick look on what Google brought us this time in its latest flagship phone.

The new Nexus phone comes with a 4.95 inches display with a screen resolution of 1920×1080 which gives the pixel density of 445ppi. Screen is True HD IPS Plus capacitive touch screen with corning gorilla glass 3 protection.
As google promised that camera on Nexus 5 will be improved, The main camera is an 8-megapixel one with a single LED flash and it features optical image stabilization (OIS), the same technology used in LG G2 and it performed very well. Nexus is said to have a unmatched low light performance. Google promised less blur and less noise in images. Front camera is 1.3 MP and it records [email protected] videos.
Nexus 5 comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 system chip with Adreno 320 graphics . RAM is same 2GB. The handset will be available with 16GB and 32GB of built-in storage with no expansion slot. Battery is 2300mAh which seems not enough. Nexus 5 supports wireless charging as well.
Android 4.4 KitKat is running on the Nexus 5. The new version of Google’s mobile operating system brings huge optimizations to the way memory is utilized and introduces new camera features like ‘auto-awesome’ images and movies, a compilation that the phone automatically creates using what’s on your camera roll. Android 4.4 is said to be optimized to run on low end phones.
