AMD’s APUs have never been a foremost preference for consumers when it comes to performance. However, the recent AMD Ryzen 4000-series has revamped these APUs and consumers adore them. Only a few days after the benchmarks for the AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 4750G were leaked, the AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 4650G and the AMD Ryzen 3 PRO 4350G “Renoir” APUs have also come forward with their specifications and benchmarks. And, these new APUs seem rather auspicious in contrast to the previous APU series!

Both APUs are based on AMD’s Zen 2 architecture, which is 7nm. However, unlike the previous APUs from AMD, the AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 4750G is 6-core and 12-thread APU, while the AMD Ryzen 3 PRO 4350G is a 4-core and 8-thread APU. However, both APUs show a decent performance than their counterparts and can even be overclocked better.

Conclusion:

Both the AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 4650G and the AMD Ryzen 3 PRO 4350G were benchmarked on the ASUS PRIME B550M-A motherboard with 32 GB DDR4-3200 MHz RAM. There is a notable difference in the multi-core performance of both APUs but only a minor difference in the single-core performance. That makes sense since the AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 4650G has 2 more cores and 6 more threads than the AMD Ryzen 3 PRO 4350G, but the boost-clock is only 200 MHz more. Since the frequencies are what matter the most in single-core performance, there isn’t a massive difference between both the scores.

Either way, both the AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 4650G and the AMD Ryzen 3 PRO 4350G are still much better than anything Intel provides in the same cost. Also, the improved support for overclocking in both APUs have made them stand-out even from their AMD competitors. All the AMD “Renoir” APUs are expected to release 21st July, which is just around the corner. We can’t wait to see what AMD introduces this time!
