The strength of the X-Men franchise has always been its metaphorical embracing of diversity; a celebration of the talented misfit in an age of bland conformity. Every star has given equal spotlight.

Hugh Jackman is supremely buff along with James McAvoy as Charles Xavier and Michael Fassbender as Magneto. The funnier part of Evan Peters as Quicksilver and Nicholas Hoult as beast amuses the audiences for a while strongly. The appearance of bold, beautiful and sexy Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique has definitely grab more fans for this movie. The real star, however, is Peter Dinklage as the suavely sinister Dr Bolivar Trask, whose mature acting makes him the eye candy during the whole movie. The cast did justice to the movie.

Like the direction, the script combines eclectic elements into a fine blend. The futuristic sci-fi world and mutant action sequences are awesome spectacle, while the future Sentinels are dark, frightening creatures; the ’70s period piece is colorful, gleefully retro, and well-staged in nearly every scene and there’s an excellent character drama at the film’s core, utilizing great actors who deliver performances above and beyond expectations of the genre. Overall the interesting fights between the X-men themselves for their purposes steals the show along with the heart touching scene showing that everyone is dying.

Ratings:

IMDB users rated it with 8.7/10 while the Metacritic users gave the score 74/100. I will rate this movie 4.5/5.
