After the successful era of Star Wars Battlefront, EA finally released its next installation “Star Wars Battlefront 2” and due to the success of its predecessor, the hype for the game was high among gamers. So, developers tried their best to make it error free game following many beta tests.
As the game was mainly focused for consoles so the performance issues on PC are high. It could be a reason of bad port or developers didn’t bothered much to look deeper into PC version.
I tried my best to find solution for the stuttering of this game and if you are looking for solution, you’ve come to the right place.
How to Solve Star Wars Battlefront 2 Stuttering on PC
Before I move further, I am assuming that your graphic card’s drivers and windows is fully updated and if they’re not then now is the time to do so.
Due to bad port or build, this game requires more than enough of your Machine’s power and if you’re running it on older generation of PC or Graphic card you need to sacrifice a little bit on some features.
I’m covering each tiny feature that can help you fix this stuttering issue in tiny topics, hope this will help you out.
Full screen optimization
In Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, Microsoft introduced some features to enhance the gaming experience but it turns out to be problematic. Turn off full screen optimization by right clicking on game exe file and then from Compatibility Tab select “Disable full screen optimizations”.
Turning off DX12 from in-game menu fixed stuttering for many, developers are working on this issue and might get fixed in coming update.
Disable Game Bar or Game DVR Windows 10
- Go to settings in Windows 10
- Navigate to Gaming
- Navigate to Game bar or Game DVR and turn the switch on or off.
Disable Game Mode
Launch your game, press WIN+G hotkey to show Game Bar. Click on settings button in Game Bar and uncheck “Use Game Mode for this game” option.
Specific Nvidia Drivers
If latest drivers for your Nvidia graphic card are not helping you out, try installing 387.92, this specific version is a good fix for this game.
Turn off Origin Overly, this is a bitter fix for origin game but it does work.
Running game on borderless window instead of full screen is also a good fix.
