Game Drive SSD for Xbox: Ease of mind

Those days are long gone when we used to play games on our console solely using DVDs. Even with Bluray DVDs it is more easy to download games on the local storage device and play. Now most of the games come in digital form so local storage is your answer of all the problem. But since consoles have not fixed their internal storage so you end up using a external hard drive that has low transfer rate than the internal storage. Here is where Seagate Game Drive SSD will come to use. SSD has gained much more faster transfer rate by removing physical parts like read heads. And by using USB 3.0 technology we can gain not exact but a good transfer rate like an internal Hard drive. Another benefit of using external Game Drive SSD is that it is portable and it can even fit in your pocket.

Seagate Game Drive SSD: Performance

Rumors are that The new Game Drive SSD for Xbox will allegedly provide transfer rate up to 540 Mb/s. But is still not clarified that how would an external SSD will provide such transfer rate via USB 3.0. The transfer rate for USB 3.0 is max 450 Mb/s. The predecessors advertised the transfer rate up to 440 Mb/s via USB 3.0. But Seagate is claiming to give transfer rate just like internal SSD provides via SATA.
