It is safe to assume that everyone expected Samsung to launch a triple camera smartphone but no one anticipated that they will do so with their “A” line of smartphones. A triple camera feature is a premium feature that goes well with Samsung’s either “Note” or “S” line of phones, however, Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 is here and you will be pleasantly surprised what the phone has to offer.
Yes! You read that right. Samsung has just announced the launch of their first triple camera phone as the Samsung Galaxy A7 2018. The phone is expected to arrive in Pakistani market in coming fall this year.
Now the triple camera feature may not be that impressive on its own but do you know how much the phone will cost once launched? Only around 50,000 PKR. This is way lower than Huawei’s P20 Pro which cost upwards of 100,000 PR upon launch.
Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 Specifications
Starting off with the display, the phone will feature 6-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 2220 pixel resolution and no notch. As for the CPU, the phone will come equipped with an octa-core 2.2GHz CPU(Chipset is yet unknown). There will be options for three different memory configurations such as 4GB/64GB, 4GB/128GB or 6GB/128GB.
Now it is no secret that the highlight of the phone is its triple camera offering but we think that even apart from that the phone seems very promising considering other specs. It is clear that Samsung has developed a phone that will challenge other manufacturers to no end when it is priced so low relative to the offerings from other brands. This is not to say that Samsung doesn’t offer exorbitant phones but the Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 is a nice balance between premium specs and price.
Coming to the camera, it consists of a 24MP primary sensor behind an f/1.7 lens, an ultra-wide 8MP f/2.4 module with 120° viewing angle and a 5MP depth sensor. We will have to wait for test reviews for our opinion on the camera but boy oh boy do these specs sound impressive. An ultra-wide 8MP f/2.4 module with 120° viewing angle is bound to offer some really crisp and balanced photos.
As for the battery, the phone will come equipped with a 3,300 mAh battery which we think is slightly on the lower side given its 2018 but hey! gotta keep the price in mind as well.
The phone will run Android 8.0 out of the box and will come in 4 colors namely, black, blue, gold and Pink.
This time around, Samsung has gone with a different approach for the fingerprint scanner. The fingerprint scanner on Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 is on the right side of the frame.
Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 Price and Availability in Pakistan
The phone is expected to launch this fall in Pakistan around Oct or Nov, however, a final date hasn’t been announced yet. The base model of the phone is expected to cost around 50,000 PKR at launch.
