In an earlier article, we reported that according to prominent leaker Vergeben, C. Viper, Oro, Q, Sodom, Necro and another character are headed to Street Fighter V Season 4. Now there have been a lot of very bold updates by Vergeben about Street Fighter Season 4.
Street Fighter V Season 4 to Have 8 Characters
In quite a lengthy post on Reddit, Vergeben dropped a bunch of information which we have summarized here:
- According to a new source that Vergeben has gotten in contact with, Makoto and a new character are set to appear in season 4.
- Street Fighter V Season 4 is set to have 6 DLC characters. With 2 free DLC not included in the 6. Bringing the total up to 8 new characters.
- Vergeben notes that the truth is likely between his 2 sources. Meaning that Viper, Necro, Q, Oro, Sodom, Makoto and 2 new characters are all set to be Season 4 characters.
- 2 of them to be free as opposed to what Vergeben heard first regarding 4 characters being free.
- Vergeben notes that it is unlikely that the 2 free characters are also the newcomers. Adds that the free characters are probably Sodom and Q since initial leaker mentioned Viper, Oro, Sodom, Q, and Necro.
- Vergeben heard from another Redditor that one of the new characters was Phantom, FANG’s apprentice. Vergeben later asked his source and they confirmed that it was Phantom they had heard about as well.
- Vergeben said that there was no news about the second newcomer.
- They also said that Capcoms top priority is Street Fighter V until at least 2020/2021.
- Street Fighter VI is in the very early stages of development.
Vergebens credibility as a leaker has generally been hit and miss but with his recent leaks about Smash Bros being on point, perhaps there is some credibility to this. Needless to say, these are bold claims and should be taken with a massive grain of salt.
