RUMOR: Nintendo Switch Firmware Version 5.0.0 Leaked Online – Tons of Features

Best Switch Multiplayer Games

The Nintendo Switch is definitely one of the fastest selling consoles in the U.S but there is still a lot holding it back from reaching perfection, if the Nintendo Switch Firmware Version 5.0.0 Leaked online is any indication, then Nintendo may have just come up with a massive homerun.

Whether the video linked is legitimate or not can be debated, but the source comes from 4chan’s /v/, and 4chan was the main culprit behind leaking the Nintendo Switch before the official reveal, but we would still advise taking this with a grain of salt.

From what we can see in the video, we can see Nintendo Switch Firmware Version 5.0.0 Leaked a lot of fascinating features:

  • Folders
  • Themes
  • YouTube / Twitch / Crunchyroll
  • Chatrooms
  • Virtual Console
  • Web Browser
  • Home Icon Arrangement
  • Cloud Storage (Hopefully for our save files)

You can see that this is an entire list of mandatory features that Nintendo Switch owners have been asking for, if only we can get a confirmation on the Nintendo Switch getting Netflix, and we have got a complete line-up for Nintendo ready to go!

The most welcome addition to the whole bunch would have to be the inclusion of themes and the home icon arrangement which is a must have feature for people who like customizing their console home screen.

While the video does seem legitmate we still advise proceeding with caution and not keeping your hopes elevated. According to the leaker, the release date for the firmware is in early February, Whether or not we will get an official announcement for this at the mysterious Nintendo Direct to take place later this month is yet another mystery we add to the pile.

If the rumor does hold truth to it, then kudos to Nintendo for listening to the community and giving us such a major overhaul so quickly!
