We have all heard about the Kickstarter projects. Smart Atoms has started a Kickstarter project for an interested and innovating product called the LaMetric. The LaMetric is a real time smart ticker that displays notifications and other metrices. And that’s not all, it even lets you respond to them. The smart ticker is customizable and is ideal for your daily life such as in the office, with multipurpose functionality and a sleek modern design.
LaMetric has a wide range of displaying things. It can display from stocks to news to emails to social updates. The metrics are provided in the form of notifications and can be responded by tapping the top-middle button on LaMetric. For example, you can reply to a social update or let people know that you’ll run late.
The things that the LaMetric can do are so much, like it can display a clock, weather, subject and time left before your next meeting, social network notifications, tasks and fitness goals, date ticker, stopwatch and countdown and more all part of what LaMetric can achieve. It even caters to athletes, with task and fitness goals and a programmable interval timer for CrossFit.
LaMetric takes automation one step further, it lets you to retrieve online information such as your favorite team scores. In the home, in conjunction with WigWag and SmartThings, you can even know when your dog is out or you have a package waiting.
Smart Atoms was inspired by the Nike+ FuelBand in designing LaMetric, which pretty much looks the same. The LaMetric looks great. The way it changes itself ideally with whatever you display on it is just amazing. Though it may look like the 8-bit windows we used to have, but still it looks great.
LaMetric will have an app available for iPhone with three customization widgets for helping connect anything to the device. LaMetric connects over Wi-Fi or Ethernet, and is offered in both wired or battery models.
