Cyberpunk 2077

CD Projekt Red’s highly ambitious title has been out for a few weeks now, and the launch has been rocky, to say the least. Since launch, there have been multiple patches to improve the game’s performance, and fix the various bugs in each platform. Base consoles are in the roughest shape, and it will be a while before those are brought up to the quality you would expect from a big-budget title. If you are on PC, however, and want to skip the Cyberpunk 2077 intro videos, here is how you can do so.

The PC version is arguably the best way to play the game, and most people have already finished the game multiple times. It is available through Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store, and was recently patched to version 1.06.

Skip the Cyberpunk 2077 Intro Videos

When you boot up Cyberpunk 2077, there is one video that always shows up. It is skippable if you press any key, but if you want to be rid of that too, it is possible. You will, however, need a tweaking tool for this, and you can follow the steps below to skip those.

  • First, download the latest version of the Cyber Engine Tweaks
  • Unzip this to the following location using Winrar or 7zip
<cyberpunk install path>/bin/x64/
  • Now, head over to the following location, and open config.json using Notepad
<cyberpunk install path>/bin/x64/plugins/cyber_engine_tweaks/config.json
  • Here, you want to adjust the value of disable_intro_movies to true, as shown below

  • Now, save and exit the file

Launch the game, and it will skip the annoying intro video.

So far, the release of patches has been gradual, and we hope that CD Projekt Red manages to fix the current state of the game as soon as possible. We are hoping that base console users can also get a satisfactory experience with this game, and next-gen users can get their next-gen patch. For now, it’s clear that PC is clearly the best platform to play the game on.
