Authors Note: Keep in mind, this guide contains spoilers. Albeit nothing game breaking, I have tried my best to avoid where necessary. This guide will tell you How to Save Other Characters in Detroit Become Human.

Additionally, this will ONLY work if you have done a good playthrough (Markus does non-violent protests when freeing the Cyberlife Androids, Marks does peaceful demonstrations and gatherings and no Casualty in Channel 16, Basically, anything that involves killing an NPC voluntarily outside of a QTE i.e. The Police, will result in risking the chances of the others surviving, additionally, you must maintain good relations with Hank)

If you wish to find guides for the other people, you will find them attached below:

Save Chloe, Jerry or Luther in Detroit Become Human

If you are having difficulty in saving Chloe, Jerry or Luther, then follow our simple guide below on how to ensure their survival. Luther is the only recurring encounter with Jerry and Chloe being one-time encounters.

It is not known whether or not the death of these characters matters for the trophy or the final ending, but isn’t it always better to be better safe than sorry?

How to save Chloe in Detroit Become Human:

In the chapter, Meet Kamski, Connor MUST NOT SHOOT Chloe.

How to save Jerry:

In the chapter, Battle for Detroit, Jump from Car to Car making sure you only go to the next car when the car indicates “LOW RISK” in Blue. When Alice prompts you to save Luther, Accept her request.

When you are told to look for a weapon, look to the FAR LEFT of your hiding spot for a brick and GENTLY push the analog stick forward the way you would in a sneaking game like The Phantom Pain, if done correctly you will see a Square Prompt over the guards head. Doing so will liberate Luther and Jerry.

You can read the next part in detail at the end of Kara’s guide:

When you are at the passport control office as Kara after being taken off the bus where you are in a line and have to take Alice to the bathroom and get one final goodbye with Rose, YOU MUST MAKE SURE MARKUS’S MARCH is STILL PEACEFUL.

Before approaching the counter, Kara will give the option to you of sacrificing herself, Luther or Jerry. You must choose NO SACRIFICE.

How to save Luther:

In the chapter, Zlotko, you must agree to take Luther with you on your journey.

In the chapter, Midnight Train, Have him hide with Alice UPSTAIRS when Adam tells you there’s a cop at the door.

In the chapter, Crossroads, When escaping Jericho as Kara, Luther will get shot in the leg. You have to choose HELP LUTHER, and Kara will carry him into a nearby room. He tells you to leave him and he will catch up to you.

The next part can be read in my guide for Kara and comes at the end in Battle for Detroit.

FOR THE NEXT CHAPTER, IT IS ESSENTIAL YOU DON’T GET SEEN BY THE POLICE, EVEN ONCE AND YOU ONLY CROSS CARS WHEN THEY INDICATE A BLUE “LOW RISK”

After rescuing Luther and going through another series of car-to-car sneaking, you will be told to choose between a risky path and a safe path.

Choose the RISKY Path. When you approach The Guard, After showing your ID choose the following dialog options: BUS, COLD/FEVER, DO NOTHING, DO NOTHING.

When you are at the BUS TERMINAL, Navigate to the left and far top corner of the map to find a woman holding a baby. The game will automatically cut to a cutscene and the woman will drop her tickets. As soon you see her drop the tickets, have Kara pick them up!

The family will come back and ask you if you’ve seen their tickets, you HAVE TO CHOOSE KEEP TICKET AND KEEP TICKET AGAIN, despite their sob story.  This is, unfortunately, the first time you will have to take some minus points with Alice. If you return the tickets, then there only an ill fate awaits you and you have to start the whole chapter again.

Lastly, this is the penultimate trial. You HAVE TO MAKE SURE THAT MARKUS HAS A PEACEFUL PROTEST IN THE SAME CHAPTER. THIS ALSO INCLUDES DENYING TO NEGOTIATE WITH THE NEGOTIATOR WHEN PROMPTED AS WITH MARKUS. There are 4 major points to examine in this part of the game.

  1. Jerry in the right of the line (look to the line to your right and press L1)
  2. Rose is on the far left line.
  3. Talk to Luther Behind you.
  4. Look at the bathrooms on the Far Left of the counter

When you go through the bathrooms, you will have a good exchange with Rose and then the scene will cut to Kara, Alice, and Luther going to the front of the line.

DEPENDING ON HOW YOU ARE HANDLING THE PROTESTS WITH MARKUS AND YOU HAVE NOT SUSTAINED ANY CASUALTIES, HUMAN OR OTHERWISE, YOU WILL BE HOME-FREE!

When prompted to, Kara will have to choose to sacrifice herself, Luther, or Jerry. One final option will be NO SACRIFICE. The man behind the counter will look to you and then the TV to see the peaceful protests and decides to let you and your new family pass.
