In September this year, Google extended its return window for the Play Store apps from 15 minutes to 2 hours. Which means users can return an app within 2 hours of purchase if they don’t like it or simply don’t want to keep it.

Apple has also introduced an incredible return window time for App Store, iTunes and iBookstore. You can return an app within 14 hours of purchase if you do not want to keep the app or you didn’t like it. But this return window is available for the customers in Europe only and it is not clear whether Apple will extend this return policy to other countries or not.

So you do not need to worry now if the app simply does not do what it claims to. You can simply return it and refund your money. Then you can buy another app of your choice.  But this return policy is not good for developers as people may start misusing it. Someone may purchase a game, finish it within 14 hours and then return it. This will surely be not a good thing for developers, specially game developers as story mode of most games can easily be completed within 14 hours. Well its up-to people now if they continue to support developers.
