Fans of A Certain Scientific Railgun got there wishes answered as the show is now officially renewed for a third season as on the “Dengeki Bunko”, 25 Anniversary Fall Dengeki Festival during a stage presentation it was revealed that the show is getting it’s awaited 3rd season. A peek into season 3 has also revealed.
Famous director, Tatsuyuki Nagai is returning to direct the anime.

The series is set in a world of A Certain Magical Index which is another show from the same artist and writer but the story is focused on a male character Kamijou Touma and nun Index. This show focuses more on Mikasa Mikoto and everything happens in her daily life in the Academy City Japan. The show has a huge following in the West and people loved both of the shows and they just got two big news. One is a new season for A Certain Magical Index and now the 3rd season for A Certain Scientific Railgun.
The editor Kazuma Miki of Dengeki Bunko also talked about on how the second season had ‘S” subtitle on it and how he does not know on what the third season will be called yet. Below is the cast of the show revealed so far:

Meanwhile more good news is that Arata Yamaji and Kazuma Kamachi’s top acclaimed A Certain Scientific Accelerator manga is getting a television anime adaptation in 2019
Kamachi’s light novel series A Certain Magical Index has inspired two television anime series, in 2013 a full feature anime film and multiple hit manga adaptations. The Spinoff Manga A certain Scientific railgun has also inspired two television anime adaptations alongside an original video anime. No specific date for the season has been announced so far but it will be airing in 2019 next year.
