5 of the Weirdest Mobile Phones Ever

weirdest phones

Who doesn’t like weird things? All of us have heard of phones like the iPhone 7 and the Samsung Galaxy S8, but several companies have gone out of their way and thought out of the box, producing phones that are unique and weird. Here are some of those weirdly cool phones:

1. The Leaf Phone

Nokia 7600

The Nokia 7600, or better known as the Leaf Phone, came out in 2003. Amusingly, this cute looking handset is even 3G enabled. This phone is one of the oddest phones ever created. Even though the bizarre leaf shape with buttons around the edge looks cool, but it makes it impossibly difficult to text. (All of us know how important that is in our lives *wink wink*)

2. Monohm’s Runcible

Tiny, wooden, round, adorable are some of the words that can be used for this phone, but this list of words surely does not include “boring”. This phone has an actual hardwood finish, as well as a circular touchscreen. This cute phone was marketed as “anti-smartphone”; so you can start using it whenever your WhatsApp group text notifications start getting too annoying.

3. The Taco Phone

Nokia Weird Phones

Not to get fooled by the name we used for the N-Gage phone by Nokia, this phone does not get you free tacos, but this taco-shaped device was marketed as a smartphone for gamers. Even though this phone had over 50 games, most of them weren’t up to the mark. However, this phone does get points for its unique shape.

4. The Buddha Phone

This Golden Buddha phone, for the devout, is all kinds of unique. The shape of the phone resembles a clam, and the keyboard buttons are placed in a circular manner, which would make texting difficult. But, one tends to ignore this small inconvenience when the phone is gold plated and has a “virtual prayer hall” for sending prayers to Buddha.

5. The Squeezable Phone

hTC U11 Phones

Unlike all the other phones on this list, the HTC U11 has been announced pretty recently, on the 16th of May, 2017. The highlight of this sleek looking phone is a feature called “Edge Sense”. When you give this device a nice squeeze, this feature makes several cool things happen, for example, taking a screenshot.
