Android P is Google’s newest version of Android OS and it is in experimental stages since the start of the year. Android P recently entered the fourth phase of testing and is available on select devices under the name Android P Beta 3. OnePlus 6 is one of those devices that received Android P beta 3 support recently. Thanks to our friends over at xdadevelopers, it turns out that you can enable Google Pixel Navigation Gestures on OnePlus 6 if you are running Android 6 Beta 3. Follow the step by step guide below to enable it.

This is a fairly simple process and does not even require a rooted device. Make sure to back up your data just in case.

Also, In order to enable Google Pixel Navigation Gestures on OnePlus 6 we are required to Setup Android Debug Bridge first.

Setup ADB on PC and Android Phone

Phone Setup:

Step 1- Open settings on your phone.

Step 2- Navigate to “About Phone”, it is generally at the bottom of the list, however, in Android Oreo, you will find it under “System”.

Step 3- Now tap the build number 7 to 8 times until a message appears telling you that Developer options have been enabled.

Step 4- Now go back to the main settings screen and at the very bottom there should be “Developer settings” tab, tap it.

Step 5- Once in developer settings, scroll down to “USB debugging” and enable it.

You are now done with the phone side of things. let’s carry on to your computer.

Computer setup:

Step 1- Download ADB zip file.

Step 2- Extract the contents of the zip file.

Step 3- Once you have extracted the contents into a folder, open a command prompt from the same ADB binary. You can do this by pressing and holding shift and then right-clicking within the folder where you have extracted the zip file. Choose “open command prompt here”.

Step 4- Now connect your smartphone, in this case, OnePlus 6 to your PC. Choose “MTP” or file transfer mode.

Step 5- To launch ADB daemon, enter the following command into command prompt window: adb devices

Step 6- Check your phone screen,  you should be able to see prompt asking to either allow or deny USB Debugging access. Tap ok to allow.

This is it, if you did everything correctly you will now be able to run any ADB command on your phone.

adb shell settings put secure swipe_up_to_switch_apps_enabled 1
