So, here is the bad news for all Warid cellular network customers. Warid 4G launch is no more NEAR, the release has been delayed to customers. It seems like Warid is unable to settle the disputes over its 4G launch with Pakistan Telecom Authority (PTA) and ZONG. Two months back, in June, Pakistan carried out auction for 3G and 4G licenses. Four major telecom companies of Pakistan took part in the auction. Out of them, only ZONG was able to win 4G license. Warid did not participate in it. This created a threat regarding its future in Pakistan. Later on, Warid amazed all of us by bringing an ad indicating 4G LTE launch. When further details leaked, it came across that Warid is having the required licenses since its launch. However, other companies started questioning the validity of license. All of them have strong point that Warid had not participated in the auction hence cannot issue 3G or 4G. ZONG held a press conference too on this issue.
This pressurized PTA to not allow Warid 4G launch earlier than ZONG one. And, also asking Warid to renew its license. Considering the issue, Warid will now make an investment of 400 million dollars for 4G deployment. A deal will Ericsson has been finalized for the Warid 4G launch.
Warid has written a letter to its corporate customers regarding the delay Warid 4G launch, asking them to wait a bit more as BEST IS YET TO COME.

A bad news has also come regarding Warid 4G launch. You will be requiring a brand new Warid SIM to use 4G LTE. I am a Warid user, and seriously thinking to switch unless Warid comes with some good internet packages before Warid 4G launch.
