Super Rare Games have announced that Shelter Generations is getting a new physical edition. The title is being released today, this time only for the Nintendo Switch.
This exclusive will not only consist of a single title but will come with a few additional things up for grabs. It will feature Paws, the Mountains DLC, two soundtracks from Shelter Generations and Paws, and two ‘living books’ as told by the developers, “Fables from the Den” and “The Lonesome Frog”.
Gameplay
Shelter Generations is basically a survival game like Conan and other similar titles, but the biggest difference is that you will be playing as a mother Lynx and not a human avatar. You’ll have to take care of your cubs, feed them, and save them from the dark side of the mother nature until they grow up and are capable of protecting themselves on their own.
Paws, on the other hand, is placed in the same environment and has the exact same gameplay mechanics. You will play as a cub who will be making efforts to survive in the wild. Here is the launch trailer of Shelter Generations for you to look into:
The developers have announced that Shelter Generations will only get a limited number of copies, 3,000 to be precise. So, if you’re wondering whether you should make the purchase or not, you might wanna decide real soon before they run out of the copies of the game.
George Perkins from Super Rare Games said a few words regarding the title, he stated:
“When we first started the company, I made a list of 5 games that we most wanted to release physically and Shelter was on that.
To now be able to release this gorgeous game as part of our limited-edition releases is amazing! This is a truly heartfelt adventure and it plays amazingly well on the Switch. The artwork that Might and Delight have produced for the series is simply breathtaking and I hope this game resonates with people the same way it did with us.”
