Samsung Galaxy S8 and Note 8

The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Note 8 have been out for more than a year now. Both the phones represent the pinnacle of Samsung’s smartphone innovation. These smartphones are often regarded as the best in business along with Samsung’s most recent flagships, the Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S9. Why is it then that you cannot record 4K 60 FPS Videos on Samsung Galaxy S8 and Note 8. These phones have only recently been surpassed by newer models and that too by only minor improvements. Let us see why has this been the case and how you can fix it.

Why does Samsung Galaxy S8 and Note 8 dont support 4K video recording at 60 fps.

So we know that all of Samsung’s flagship phones come in 2 variants stringent on the type of processor that is used in them. One variant uses the Qualcom Snapdragon processor while the other uses an Exynos processor.  There are some ups and downs to both of these processors but we will not get into that since that is not the topic of this article. last year, Samsung’s Exynos 8895 processor that was implemented in the S8 and Note 8 had full capability to support 4K video recording at 60 fps. However, this functionality was restricted because the Snapdragon 835 processors, used in the other variants of both S8 and Note 8, did not have this functionality. So to level things out a bit Samsung intentionally limited 4K video recording at 30 fps even though the Exynos 8895 equipped S8 and Note 8 were capable of it.
