Patriot High Memory SSD, microSD, USB-Stick and RGB DRam Announced

At Computex 2018, Patriot came up with its box of marvels giving the costumers what they were looking for. They released their new range of SSDs, microSDs, USB-Sticks and Rams. For starters lets talk about the SSDs. Patriot unveiled their new Viper series with super fast 3400 Mb/s SATA. They came up with 512 GB USB-sticks on the show. Also they come up with DDR4 Rams with nice colored lighting. These were the new comers that came out of the Patriot high memory box.

Patriot High memory Viper M.2 SSD:

The all new driving force of SSD known as Viper M.2 has a PCIe 3.0 x4 and Non Volatile Memory Express (NVMe). This SSD comes with a storage capacity of 256 GB 1TB. Patriot claims the sequential transfer rate of Viper M.2 to be 3400 Mb/s for reading and 3000 Mb/s for writing. Viper M.2 stands tall in the league of PCIe as it plays with 4k 600,000 Input output operations per second. As far as the controller is concerned Patriot is using the new Phison E12. The chip is claimed to support NVMe 1.3 having 8 NAND gates and single LDPC error correction. This SSD is assumped to be launched in somewhere near September.

Viper SSD SATA up to 2TB:

The Viper 2.5 with Serial-ATA connection is offering up to 2GB storage capcity and transfer rate with SATA around 550Mb/s. The controller being used also comes from Phison’s current generation known as S12. Despite of having slower transfer rate as compared to E12, S12 also has 8 NAND channels and one LDPC error correction. It has 100,000 4k IOPS for reading and 90,000 4k IOPS for writing. Expected launch in the market is also somewhere around September or October.

EVLVR : Portable Thunderbolt SSD:

This is an external portable SSD with a storage capicity upto 1 TB. EVLVR has sequential transfer rates of 1,500 Mb/s for reading and 1,000 Mb/s for writing . It already made a guest appearance at CES 2018. The expected release is also in third quarter of 2018.

USB Sticks upto 512 GB:

Patriot High memory USB sticks unveiled are the Viper 2 and QT. They have storage capacity of 128 GB to 512 GB. Although they failed to reach the transfer rate of Thunderbolt 3 and USB 3.1 GEN 2. However the Viper 2 should get the sequential transfer rates of 400 Mb/s for reading and 300 Mbs/s for writing making it one of the fastest USB 3.0 of all time. As far as QT is concerned no transfer rates were released. It has a very small size and a very little part of sticks outside the USB port. QT’s storage capacity ranges form 32 to 128 GB, For both the Viper and QT the expected date of release would be again somewhere in the third quarter of the year.

A1 seal microSD cards:

Patriot has announced two Patriot high memory microSD card V30 and V10 with A1 seal. The storage capacity of V10 is from 32 to 256 GB. The transfer rate is expected to be 10Mb/s for both reading and writing having minimum of 500 input output operations per second. As far as V30 is concerned, storage capacity ranges from 64 to 256 GB. The transfer rates for writing are expected to be 80 Mb/s and for reading it is expected to be 100 Mb/s. Lauching for both these microSD card is expected in September.

VIPER RGB up to 4133 MHz:

Viper has come up with 2 DRAM having 16 GB kit and transfer rate from 2,666 to 4133 MHz. These DRAM will come in two colors i.e black and white. These DRAMs are equipped with RGB LED lights that can be controlled by a software. Both these modules are XMP 2.0 certified and are said to compatible with the current Intel and AMD platforms. Expected launch for the DRAMs is also somewhere around September.
