New Galaxy Note 9 variant gets certified by the FCC

Samsung’s upcoming flagship, the Galaxy Note 9, grabbed its first-ever FCC certification last month when the model number SM-N960F was certified by FCC. In the last couple of weeks, several other FCC related news has been spotted in regards to the upcoming Note 9. Just recently, it was made known that the stylus that will come shipped with Galaxy Note 9 will incorporate Bluetooth for various applications. However, the most recent reports confirm yet another certification by the FCC for another Galaxy Note 9 variant.

The Galaxy Note 9 variant in question bears the model number SM-N9600 which will be restricted to the Chinese market.

Samsung has been securing required certifications for its newest product in different countries as of late. In China,  for example, Samsung has picked up the 3C certification in the country for the Galaxy Note 9. The 3C listing mentioned that the device supports power input of 9V DC/1.67A or 5V DC/2A with fast wireless charging.

Moreover, as the date of its official announcement nears, Samsung seems to be hard at work to list support pages for its newest smartphone on their website. The Galaxy Note 9 will be officially announced in August this year. The launch event will be held in New York on August 9.

Much anticipation surrounds the launch of Samsung Note 9 as bits of news leaks every now and then regarding the smartphone’s features. The biggest rumor, however, has to do with the Note 9’s in-screen fingerprint scanner. It is speculated that the Galaxy Note 9 will most probably feature an in-screen fingerprint scanner.
