L.A Noire Switch File Size Revealed - Physical Version Needs 14 GB of Download

L.A Noire Switch File Size Revealed and if you were planning on playing without any hassle, you couldn’t be more mistaken.

L.A Noire was a sensation when it released on the PS3, Xbox 360 and the PC in 2011, the game was heralded for its stunning motion capture technology, the attention to detail when it came to capturing the authenticity of the setting, and more.

L.A Noire Remastered was announced a few months ago to bring the series to the Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and select cases to VR with the HTC Vive.

While the question that was on a lot of minds about the game was the file size on the Nintendo Switch, and a startling discovery was made by the people over at Nintendo Everything.

It has been discovered that L.A Noire File Size is going to be as much as 29 GB in size, and even if you buy the physical version which is $10 more expensive, you will hit a bump in the road in the form of a massive 14 GB download.

The initial discovery was on Rockstar’s support page which detailed the issue. It goes without saying that you can’t skip the download as the download includes “containing required gameplay data as well as general bug fixes and improvements”.

Users are given the option to install this data on the Switch’s internal storage or on a MicroSD card, but if you are going for the digital version of the game, you will need a dedicated memory card, or a 64 GB Variant.

Rockstar also detailed that the required MicroSD has to be a minimum of 60MB/sec of read speed, this goes for digital or physical versions of the game.

It is appalling that the game costs $10 more and has a massive download for such a light console like the Nintendo Switch. Where the Xbox One, PS4 and PC have mammoth sized storage spaces when compared to the Nintendo console, it is unreasonable to demand a whole MicroSD card so that people can play your game.

With all this in mind, what are your thoughts on the matter and has this impacted your decision about buying the Nintendo Switch version of L.A Noire? Let us know in the comments section below.
