Scarlet Nexus was recently released by Bandai Namco Entertainment on Steam but is riddled with a number of bugs and errors that are causing problems for players, which is true for almost all newly released games. We here at TheNerdMag have prepared guides for other errors related to Scarlet Nexus and how to fix them. If you want to check them out as well, then links are attached at the end of this article. The users who are playing Scarlet Nexus on Steam are recently facing the Failed to Load System Data Error.
The Failed to Load System Data has some issue with your Windows Username. You are having this problem because your Windows Username has non-English characters in it. So until the developers officially fix this bug, you will keep getting this error. However, there is a temporary workaround this problem, which isn’t too hectic. The developers have acknowledged this and posted about it on Twitter. Here is what they said:
Translation: “[Notice regarding Steam version] We have confirmed the phenomenon that the game cannot be started when non-alphanumeric characters are used in the Windows user name. We apologize for any inconvenience caused to the target customers as we are currently investigating, but we will inform you as soon as the details become available.”
Go to the Start bar and search Manage your account.
Click on Family & other users.
Next, click on Add someone else to this PC
You will now be carried through by the User creation process. Just make sure you name it using only English characters otherwise you’ll be met with the same error and all this will be for naught.
Once you have made the second account, you can feel free to play Scarlet Nexus without having to worry about the Failed to Load System Data Error. If this guide was helpful, make sure to let us know in the comments below. You can check out other guides related to Scarlet Nexus here:
