How to fix Mafia Definitive Edition Ultrawide Issue on PC (Steam)

Mafia Definitive Edition Ultrawide Issue
Mafia: Definitive Edition

Mafia Definitive Edition is the remake of the original action-adventure that came out back in 2002. The game is now available on PC through Steam, Xbox One, and PS4. Players can also purchase the Mafia Trilogy, which includes definitive editions of each game. If you are on PC and want to fix Mafia Definitive Edition Ultrawide Issue, here is how you can do it.

The game has Very Positive reviews on Steam, and much better reception when compared to the other two entries and their definitive editions.

Even though, the game has Ultrawide support, it doesn’t support it during cut scenes, and there are black bars that can be annoying. If you to fix that, simply follow the steps below.

To fix this, you will need to download Hex

After you have installed it. Follow the steps below.

  • Run HxD and then click File and choose mafiadefinitiveedition.exe (Steam library>Mafia DE> Properties> LOCAL FILES>Browse Local Files)
  •  Click Search > Go to… > Offset : C931E4
  • Here, change 39 8E E3 3F to any of the following values
26 B4 17 40 for 2560x1080
8E E3 18 40 for 3440x1440
39 8E 63 40 for 3840x1080

Now, even though this works well for the in-game cutscenes, some of the pre-rendered cutscenes will become stretched due to this. You will notice that in the prologue. We hope the developers address this and add native support for the resolutions in-game, and during cutscenes.
