Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is a Metroidvania video game developed by ArtPlay, DICO and WayForward Technologies, and published by 505 Games. The game is finally available on multiple platforms including Steam. If you’re experiencing any Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Low FPS on either NVIDIA or AMD systems, here’s what you can do to get a boost.

We’re glad to finally get a proper spiritual successor to the legendary Konami title Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, and with Koji Igarashi at its helm, the game can’t get any better. The game has been developed on Unreal Engine 4 and can be a bit demanding.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Low FPS

While the game isn’t exactly very demanding, and for the most part, runs quite solid, if you’re having any sort of FPS issues, and aren’t getting the desired amount, there are plenty of things you can do to fix that.

Fix Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Low FPS Issue on Nvidia Graphics Card

  • Right click on your desktop.
  • Open Nvidia Control Panel.
  • Select Manage 3D Settings and select Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night from the Program Settings and set the Power Management to Prefer Maximum Power
  • In the same Nvidia Control Panel, you can change “pre-rendered frames” to 1, this improves performance on less powerful systems.
  • Another useful tweak in Nvidia Settings is to turn shader cache on. In most cases, this would help improve FPS. You can always revert back to default settings should you notice any negative change in the performance of the game.

Lower Shadows and Anti-Aliasing

Lowering either of these settings will give you a significant boost in performance, as these are the most taxing settings.

  • You can also mess around with Post Processing, and see if that helps you as well.
  • We recommend keeping overall settings at Medium-High, and textures at Epic only if you have a 6/8 GB GPU.

Fix Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Low FPS Issue on AMD Radeon Graphics Card

  • Right click on your desktop and click on AMD Radeon settings.
  • Then click on the gaming tab on the top left.
  • You will see an option called “Power Efficiency” under global settings.
  • Turn this option off.
