If you’ve been waiting for Geras for Mortal Kombat 11, you can now see him in bloody glory as he masters time and sand to deliver punishing blows to his foes. He looks like a versatile fighter who will definitely be favored by Jax and Tremor mains from Mortal Kombat X, so you better keep an eye on him.
Geras was one of the leaked characters we talked about in the earlier leak, but this is our first look at the fighter since the reveal. Let us know what you think of Geras and if you’re willing to give him a shot in Mortal Kombat 11.
What is Geras? Who is he for?
From what we observed in the trailer, Geras has a lot of good options for getting out of tricky situations, we didn’t get a chance to look at his variations but we can hope that the sand and time controlled ones are individual variations as combining both in one variation can have a very broken player.
Geras appears to be a superb close range fighter and has a lot of options for building distance between himself and other players, so if you plan on sitting in a corner and spamming projectiles, you’re only going to make him mad.
What is surprising about Geras is how he is probably the first character shown so far who has the power to control and manipulate the flow of time during combat, which is crucial, and once you have an enemy trapped in a combo, freezing time can prove invaluable.
