Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Sprint receives Android KitKat update

In our last post, we brought you the list of Samsung devices to receive Android KitKat update. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is also among that list. Now as per the list, Galaxy Note 3 has now begun receiving Android KitKat update. Official KitKat is now available for Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3 in the US. The update is about 500 MB in size so we recommend you to use Wi-Fi to download the update as it is not so small. Major changes to User Interface were covered in Android 4.3 JellIy Bean update so Android 4.4 does not bring much changes in User Interface of Galaxy Note 3.

Here are few changes that Samsung mentions that you’ll get by upgrading to Android 4.4 KitKat.

  • Operating System upgrade to 4.4.2
  • Music album art will be displayed on the lock screen while playing music
  • New launcher settings menu added for easily switching home screens and SMS apps
  • Camera shortcut added to the lock screen
  • Improved user interface and stability
  • So if you are a Sprint user you probably would have received the notification of the update but if not, go to settings> About Phone to get the update.
