Mark Zukerberg and his team were trying to introduce something new this year with the previous changes in Facebook now there is something different at the end of the year Facebook’s new standlone App, ‘Poke’ which enables you to send text, photos and videos to your friends. Facebook Poke app is SanpChat competitor which was gaining popularity among young users. Over 50 million photos were shared every single day on snapchat as compared to facebook. There was something strange and crazy thing in self destructing messages that user started to enjoy it. So, without waiting for Snapchat to get so big released poke.
Facebook explained that this app is designed to contact your friends and tell them what are you doing :
With the Poke app, you can poke or send a message, photo, or video to Facebook friends to share what you’re up to in a lightweight way. You can poke an individual friend or several at once. Each message expires after a specific time you’ve set, either 1, 3, 5 or 10 seconds. When time runs out, the message disappears from the app.
The messages eventually delete after few seconds.This app is only for facebook and has nothing to do with other facebook apps.Facebook at the end of the year has outrun the other messengers with the introduction of this new outstanding app. Right now Facebook Poke App is only available for iOS but it is expected that Android version will be released soon. This app is completely free and can be downloaded from the Appstore.
