Source: Steam

Days Gone, a much-anticipated PlayStation exclusive, was recently ported to PC after a year of its release. However, things aren’t as simple as consoles on PC. Games have to be manually configured to suit your personal preference. As such, some things can become rather complicated to do. In times like these, you need a Days Gone guide to make things easier for yourself.

We’ve compiled a comprehensive Days Gone guide to help you navigate through some manual configurations in the game. In this guide, we’ll explain how you can skip intro videos, disable film grain, improve mouse input responsiveness, and increase the LoD distance in Days Gone. You don’t have to waste your own time finding these settings because we’ve got you covered.

How To Skip Intro Videos In Days Gone?

Intro videos can be often bothersome. They’re long-drawn, repetitive and waste time when you want to jump straight into the action. What makes them even worse is when you can’t skip intro videos. The same is the case with Days Gone. However, there’s a work-around for this!

  • Go over to the drive that you’ve installed Days Gone into.
  • Open the Steam folder.
  • Open the steamapps folder.
  • From there, open the common folder.
Mafia II: Definitive Edition common Folder
  • You’ll see the Days Gone folder there, open that.
  • Open the folder called BendGame.
  • Open the Content folder and then the Movies folder inside of it.
  • Find these exact files and delete them; bend_studio.mp4, ps_studios.mp4, and sie_presents.mp4.

How To Disable Film Grain In Days Gone?

Film grain is a decent feature in narrative-based games but it may not be everyone’s cup of tea. Additionally, it can also take a toll on the FPS of the game. Unfortunately, Bend Studio hasn’t provided an option to disable film grain in Days Gone. However, there’s a substitute for this!

  • Press WIN + R on your keyboard or open Run from the Start menu on your desktop.
  • Once opened, type in %LOCALAPPDATA% and press ENTER. This will open the Local folder in the AppData folder on your PC.

  • Open the Saved folder.
  • From there, open the Config folder and then the WindowsNoEditor folder.
  • Find the file called Engine.ini and open it.

How To Improve Mouse Input Responsiveness In Days Gone?

We all hate it when the mouse starts to lag behind in games. Days Gone is no exception! Not only can this ruin the immersive experience, but can also become annoying at times. If you were unable to find an option to improve the mouse input responsiveness in Days Gone, you’re not alone. Yes, there is an option to do so!

  • Go to Options in Days Gone.
  • Go to the Gameplay tab.
  • Disable the Camera Follow Tracking option.

How To Increase The LoD Distance In Days Gone?

LoD (Level of Detail) determines how far the game has to render in-game objects in a certain environment. If you have a high-end GPU, such as an NVIDIA RTX 3000-series or AMD RX 6000-series one, you may want to increase the LoD for better visual quality in Days Gone. Unfortunately, Bend Studio doesn’t let you do that. However, there’s an alternative to this!

  • Press WIN + R on your keyboard or open Run from the Start menu on your desktop.
  • Once opened, type in %LOCALAPPDATA% and press ENTER. This will open the Local folder in the AppData folder on your PC.
Days Gone
  • From there, find the folder BendGame and open it.
  • Open the Saved folder.
  • From there, open the Config folder and then the WindowsNoEditor folder.
  • Find the file called Engine.ini and open it.
  • Paste the below-mentioned command lines into the file and save it.

r.ViewDistanceScale=10
