Android Co-founder Launches A New SmartPhone With Snapdragon 835

Android

Most of the phones that do not operate on Apple’s iOS, work on Android. There is also the ongoing debate of Android Vs iPhone that we’ve all taken part in, at one point or another. Andy Rubin, the Android creator, has announced a new high-end smartphone that will be more than capable of competing with Apple and Samsung.

Essential Products, Rubin’s company, announced the launch of its first smartphone which will be combining the best features from all the famous phone models into one sleek-looking phone. Just like the Xiaomi Mi Mix, the Essential Phone will be equipped with a bezel-less display from one edge to the other. This display proves that Essential would be a strong competitor to Samsung Galaxy S8, released this year, which also has a minimum bezel screen.

Android 2

The Essential Phone effectively utilizes the dual-camera system that was first brought into popularity by the iPhone Plus. Even though the two cameras in the back are used for optical zoom on the iPhone, the Essential Phone makes use of them to provide better pictures in low light conditions. The Essential Phone has a peculiar design, where the screen is wrapped around the front camera; this hasn’t been seen on any other smartphone before.

Android-3

In addition to all of this, this device will be featuring magnetic connectors at the back that make adding accessories, like a 360-degree camera or charging dock, way less complex and time-consuming. The Essential phone also takes durability up a notch by having built the phone around a titanium and ceramic case. This design is expected to make it much less delicate and breakable than all the other smartphones currently on the market. The company also shows this durability off but providing us with a drop test video, which proves that the phone remains scratchless even when dropped.

Android-4

Some other features of this impressive smartphone include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, 4GB RAM, a 13-megapixel dual back camera and an 8-megapixel front camera, a fingerprint sensor located on the rear of the phone, a 3,040 mAh battery, and 128 GB of storage.

The Essential Phone, with all its amazing internal and external features, will be available in $699 (73,200 PKR approximately) and the shipping details will be announced in the coming weeks.

Feel free to tell us what you think of the Essential Phone and if you would actually consider buying it.
