The Upcoming May 2019 Games for PC, Xbox, PS4 and Nintendo Switch show us that this is an easy month to save up money for other big games coming out! Life is Strange 2 – Episode 3: Wastelands

Date: May 9th, 2019

Platforms: PC, Xbox One, PS4

Summary: 

The third episode of DONTNOD’s sequel to the highly-acclaimed Life is Strange. We continue the story of Sean and Daniel Diaz as they travel the state, escaping being hunted by the law for being suspects in the death of a police officer. Without giving spoilers, Episode 3 has been in the works for a while, and after the way Episode 2 ended, I know I am excited for this!

Yakuza Kiwami 2

Date: May 9th, 2019

Platforms: PC

Summary: 

The story follows Kazuma Kiryu coming back from leaving behind his past life in the Yakuza one more time. A death in the organization has sparked a great war between the different clans, and bring him to face with a formidable foe – the Legendary “Dragon of Kansai”, Ryuji Goda.

A Plague Tale: Innocence

Date: May 14th, 2019

Summary: 

The game takes place during the Hundred Year War (1337-1453) and the Black Death (1346-1353). We follow the story of Amelia and Hugo, two siblings who are surviving through the two dangerous historic eras, surviving war, famine, and pestilence.

Rage 2

Date: May 14th, 2019

Platforms: PC, Xbox One, PS4

Summary: 

A sequel to ID Softwares 2011 First Person Shooter of the same name, the original had a lot of promise but was brought down due to a lot of reasons. When Rage 2 was announced at E3 2018, it looked like a blend of Mad Max and Borderlands. While we have seen plenty of gameplay videos for the game, we will have to wait and see if the game manages to exceed the original.

Assassins Creed III: Remastered

Date: May 21st, 2019

Platforms: Nintendo Switch

Summary: 

A remake of the 2012 entry to the series, Assassins Creed III follows the adventure of Haytham Kenway and the game follows America’s war for liberation leading to their freedom in 1776 against the British. The game was the first in the series to change the setting from the cities of Assassins Creed 1 and 2 to the open world that inspired Assassins Creed 4 and naval combat.

If you missed out on it the first time or are a fan of this, it’s worth checking out.

Summary: 

The creators of Hotline Miami, My Name is Pedro and other amazing titles brings us Alien Isolation meets Five Nights at Freddy’s. Devolver Digital has always made some top-quality games, so we have no doubt this is going to be one that will keep you on the edge of your seat!

Resident Evil, Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Zero

Date: May 21st, 2019

Platforms: Nintendo Switch

Summary: 

All your favorite resident evil titles, including Resident Evil 4 are headed to the fastest selling console of US. Each title will be purchasable separately for $30 and you can read all about it here.

Team Sonic Racing

Date: May 21st, 2019

Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch

Summary: 

SEGA’s response to cart racing is Team Sonic Racing. Previous entries of the franchise have been extremely polished, with some very fun levels built for couch play and support online multiplayer. The game will feature over 15 characters and a wide variety of tracks.

Total War: Three Kingdoms

Date: May 23rd, 2019

Summary: 

Creative Assembly takes us to ancient China amid the raising conflict. With turn-based strategic gameplay and real-time combat, Total War: Three Kingdoms is shaping up to be the next greatest Total War game yet. Read our various guides on it here.

Blood and Truth

Date: May 28th, 2019

Platforms: PSVR

Summary: 

Put on your PlayStation VR headset and become elite Special Forces soldier Ryan Marks in a hard-hitting shooter with all the explosive action and drama of a Hollywood blockbuster – inspired by PlayStation VR Worlds’ massively popular ‘The London Heist’ experience.

Cricket 19

Date: May 31st, 2019

Platforms: Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch

Summary: 

Cricket 19 is the officially licensed cricket title of the Ashes and brings all new features including both men’s and women’s teams. Realistic AI and multiplayer, this is the go-to title for all cricket fans and will be available on the go for Switch users.

That’s all there is coming to your favorite consoles in May of 2019. PC fans will be delighted with a new Total War to keep them busy after they’ve finished the latest Total War: Warhammer 2 DLCs. Almost all of the lineup will be available on the Nintendo Switch, and triple-A titles like Rage 2 will finally hit shelves as well.
