Super Lucky’s Tale for Nintendo Switch Coming Soon

it seems that Microsoft’s successful 3D platformer has caught the eye of the Nintendo Switch indie scene and could see a release on the console very soon. Super Lucky’s Tale for Nintendo Switch is something that fans have been waiting for to reach on Nintendo’s handheld since it blew away Xbox One and PC players with its colorful and vibrant graphics and fun mechanics. Considering the rarity of the genre itself, its no wonder people want a new game to go with recent remasters of classic platformers like Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon Remasters.

While Playful and Nintendo Switch have yet to come forward and affirm the news, it seems that a couple of resume listings have hinted at the potential of a re-release on the Nintendo Console.

The first resume is from a concept artist. They stated that they worked on “environment assets for the upcoming Nintendo Switch port.” The resume belongs to someone currently working at Playful so there is a good chance that the information presented here is accurate.

A second resume is of a contracted 3D Artist who worked with Playful until the end of 2017 had stated they had shipped Super Lucky’s Tale on the PC, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

From what we know so far, it seems that the game has been waiting on a shelf at Playful’s headquarters and is probably going through testing to be published on the Nintendo Switch.

Considering the graphics and overall aesthetic of the game, it would feel right at home on the Nintendo console.

Super Lucky’s Tale is a sequel to the 2016 indie platformer made for the Oculus Rift with its sequel, Super Lucky’s Tale announced and released in 2017. The game had a unique appeal to the world of VR due to giving 3D Platforming a whole new meaning, but the change from VR to home consoles may not have been for everyone.

The game had some lackluster scores on the Xbox One version with a 64 metacritic score and the PC version at a 59. Looking at the steam version, however, paints a very different picture about reception with all 85 reviews giving it an overall positive rating.
