Steel Circus – A Sports Game With Heroes Is A New Twist To The Genre

We are all familiar with different kinds of sports. Whether we are talking about attacking and defending goals in games like Rocket League or outlasting opponents in an arena like Laser League. All of the sports game offers characters that have no real effect on the character they play as except on a cosmetic level. Steel Circus looks to change that by introducing heroes into the mix.

Steel Circus – A new type of sports game?

Similar to the FIFA series, Steel Circus offers players the ability to choose between heroes to play as. These are characters with varying traits and abilities that make them a formidable foe in the match.

The trailer is indeed very impressive and shows just how explosive and intense the action can get in the game. What makes the game stand out is how the game allows for a greater choice in player character, further details will be available when the game starts its closed Alpha testing in the days to come.

Microtransactions and Signing up for the Alpha

The game will offer microtransactions but all the content will be purely cosmetic. You can buy the game during its Early Alpha testing phase to get instant access to all the content for the game, present, and future.

You can have an early look at the characters and sign up for the Alpha Test.

The Game Plan

The game doesn’t have a release date yet but aims for Steam Early Access by Early 2019. There are currently 7 Champions being worked on and there are hopes of adding in 20 champions in the final release and the game will have 4 different stages – there will two arenas with two variations offered for each. There are plans of adding in different game modes to keep the game engaging and entertaining.

The People Behind The Game

The game is published by Oasis Games and developed by Iron Mountain studios which comprise of video game industry veterans who have worked on other AAA titles such as the Max Payne, Dead Island and Grand Theft Auto.

So far there only appears to be a PC version of the game, hopefully, we can expect a console release for the game to follow on other systems.
