Sea Of Thieves just announced a competitive game mode that is similar to the Battle Royale mode of Fortnite. Where you can compete against other crews for supremacy. You can compare the game to the Limited Time Mode in Fortnite where you can compete against each other in a set number of players vs players achieving an objective.
While details are scarce on the game, here is a trailer on the game and some screenshots. The update is coming for free and in 2019. it will be a major game changer for the title as it has had its fair luck holding a loyal player base. Perhaps this is the breath of fresh air the game needs.
