Savaree App Launch: Never Ride Alone

Savaree

Going somewhere alone, no travelling partner, and no fun in your travelling? Savaree is the answer for everything in travelling. You don’t have to feel alone while travelling anymore. Savaree is the first ridesharing platform. Its main purpose is to bring together drivers going on a certain route and people wanting to go on the same route. Charges do apply, but that comes later.

The launch event of Savaee was held in Arfa Tower Lahore and it was a 35 minute event officially. And what do you know, the event was exactly of 35 minutes, starting at 5:00 P.M and ending at 5:35 P.M sharp. That was some great demonstration of time punctuality by the Savaree team.

Enough small talk. Let’s get down to business.

How Savaree makes a difference

Once the event was in motion, Qasim Zafar (Marketing and Technology Lead of Savaree) introduced the Savaree app and also told us all about the various advantages we get for using the app.

We get a Network of Trusted People which includes

  • Verified Phone Numbers
  • Organizational and Social Authentication
  • Rating, Reviews and Mutual Connections on Profile

And a Friendly Atmosphere

  • Openness
  • Ratings and Feedback (which includes your opinion about the time punctuality of the driver, the driver itself, and the car)

Savaree also promises to reduce the carbon footprint in our air, polluting us from the inside and out. Also, Savaree makes a difference when there is lower consumption of fuel, which will not only be an advantage for an individual but also to Pakistan itself.

Revenue Model of Savaree

Later on they talked about the payment method of their ridesharing platform. The payments are fairly easy.

  • 15 Rs/km for rideshare (that’s a Savaree thing)
  • 400 Rs/10km and 30 Rs/km onward for private taxi charter

And I guess it’s about fair to the person who is using is his own car as a private taxi to get 400 Rs/10km because it’s not only about the petrol but it is also about the vehicle degradation, maintenance and what not.

Khurram Zafar the Man of the Hour

Khurram Zafar (Executive Director, LUMS Center for Entrepreneurship) later on joined us in the event. He shared his views about the app and also about the way the application in came in existence and how the brilliant idea arose from Madeeha Hassan (Co-Founder & Chief Product Officer Savaree).

User Interface

The user interface of the Savaree app is fairly simple. Once downloaded from the Google Play Store, installed, and initiated, the app offers 3 options, Sign Up, Log In and Skip.

Savaree

Following the simple sign up process you get yourself registered with Savree. Or you could just sign up with Facebook, which saves you from the trouble of writing all the information again. (Well that’s only my opinion, feel free to do whatever you like).

Once verified you enter the home screen of the app. The screen offers various options/features of the app. On the top-left there is a button, which on on-click opens a tab of the application including

  • Book a Ride
  • My Routes
  • My Bookings

And a bunch of other stuff that I would suggest you look it yourself.
