Talk about classics coming to modern platforms, first Jill of the Jungle trilogy is available for free on GOG, now the Saboteur! for Nintendo Switch Release date has been announced.

Saboteur! was made by Clive Townsend in 1985 for ZX Spectrum 8-bit computer, the game is a retro classic and is now headed to the fastest selling console of US and Canada, the Nintendo Switch.

This isn’t just a regular port, however, as you’ll be getting tons of extra content, like

Original mission from 1985 in two versions ZX Spectrum and Commodore 64

  • New enemies
  • New story
  • New soundtrack and music
  • Over 10 hours of gameplay
  • 5 times bigger than original version
  • 9 retro consoles graphics modes
  • 8 language versions
  • 22 special achievements
  • Secrets and easter eggs to reveal

That’s a lot of new content for a game that came out back in 1985 and we’re interested in how they’ll add all this to an already great game.

The new content will be created by the creator Clive Townsend himself.

The game is headed to the console on 9th November 2018, which is only a few days away.

The game is priced at $8, which while isn’t a great deal as Jill of the Jungle trilogy, which is totally free to get on GOG right now, but this adds a lot of new content to the game as well.

"Now after 33 years, SimFabric in collaboration with Clive Townsend prepared a special remastered version of Saboteur! for Nintendo Switch. In the game, you'll experience the original mission from the 1985 version. Additionally, the story will continue with new levels and enemies. Now you'll be able to know more about Saboteur and his dark and secret story"

The game has been rated E by ESRB.
