Rumor: Users Able to Download Devil May Cry 5 on Xbox One, 29.66 GB File Size

Devil May Cry 5 PC

It seems that certain Xbox One users are able to download Devil May Cry 5 months before its official release date. While this may or may not be the final size of the game, This does open up the game for massive opportunities for datamining.

Are you able to Download Devil May Cry 5 early on your Xbox One?

While this is an unusual occurrence, as pre-load for games begin a few days prior to their release date, it seems Capcom is giving users a huge head start when getting them ready for Devil May Cry 5. There are unusual reports of people being able to download Devil May Cry 5 early on the Xbox One. The game is scheduled for a March 8th 2019 release date. So a pre-load this early means that someone slipped up at Microsoft.

The game size total at 29.66GB and it is suspected that the size will continue to grow with the passing months. The problem with this is the potential for dataminers to enter the game files and ruin the game for people long before it even releases.

The Sources for the images comes from a Reddit thread on /r/DevilMayCry. While the Original Poster has since then not replied to the thread, it is not known whether or not the pre-load is available for all people who pre-ordered the game, or just select people experiencing it.

The game already went through a very small leak a few months ago, and it seems that this could be the motherlode of leaks if someone manages to get into the game files. If this is indeed a full game or a sizeable amount of the game, it is possible for people to access all the story content, especially cutscenes, dialog and much more in the games files.

While we can only hope that this is just another false hoax like the convincing screenshot of one user reporting P.T being locked for them after an update from Konami that never got pushed.

Let us know in the comments section if you or anyone you know is able to download the game early.
