Rumor: Microsoft to introduce Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for $14.99

Xbox Game Pass is a subscription service from Microsoft for use with its Xbox One games console. Described as “Netflix for video games”, the Xbox Game Pass grants users access to a catalog of games from a range of publishers for a single monthly subscription price. It’s one of the most successful and brilliant ideas from Xbox, and now it seems that an even better version of it called Xbox Game Pass Ultimate might be introduced by Microsoft.

According to Twitter user WalkingCat, that is a very reliable leaker, Microsoft will introduce a brand new subscription plan called Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

This will include both Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass. It will be priced at $14.99/month, special price for Insiders = $1/month until release.

With Game Pass you’ll be given tons of games to play, exclusives on launch and it works on all Xbox One consoles including Xbox One, Xbox One S and Xbox One X. You can start your free trial for Game Pass, here.

If this rumor really is true, then it is a really really good deal for Xbox users as it not only gives you game pass but Xbox Live as well, for a very low price. Both these services combined give users the ultimate experience on the Xbox One and Xbox One X. Playing hundreds of titles to play through the game pass, with online capability using Xbox Live, this deal will be their next big thing in terms of subscription services. This is a step in the right direction for consumers.
