The Red Dead series is one of the most successful video game franchises of all time. The first game Red Dead Revolver came out on PS2 and Xbox in 2004, while not as successful as it’s successor Red Dead Redemption which is on the list of one of the best games ever made, undoubtedly had a lasting appeal for Rockstar to continue the series and now we’re at the point where Red Dead Redemption finally has a successor set in the same continuity as a prequel, focusing on the story of outlaw Arthur Morgan, a member of the Dutch van der Linde gang. Red Dead Redemption 2 release date may have been leaked recently by Amazon Mexico, now we have more information regarding its development and where the game likely stands in terms of completion. Check out below
If you followed the previous leak, there was a pattern suggested that historically speaking, most Rockstar games have a concrete release date announced in January and are slated for April-May releases.
- January 24th, 2008. Grand Theft Auto IV announced for April 29th.
- January 24th, 2011. L.A Noire announced for May 17th.
- January 17th, 2012. Max Payne 3 announced for May 15th.
- January 31st. Grand Theft Auto V gets its September date.
From their record, it seems that an announcement is close, the official release date and hopefully the gameplay will be shown very soon, so far, their site suggests that it’s slated for Spring 2018. It is also worth noting that their major titles including GTAIV, RDR, L.A Noire and Max Payne 3 released in the spring, GTAV was the notable exception but was originally scheduled for Spring 2013.
Development update
More information about the development of Red Dead Redemption 2 has surfaced through a twitter conversation between someone, who seems to be a roommate with a supposed Rockstar employee who lives in Bangalore, where Rockstar India is located and some guy suggesting that the game is done and ready for deployment, check out the conversation below, their names have been hidden to protect their identity
Okay, so from the tweets above it’s pretty evident that Rockstar is working at their best to get the game ready and show us something as soon as possible, even if it’s the last phase of development, supposedly, this means a release date is around the corner, and given the company’s track record, this month most likely.
These images have been provided by a user at ResetEra and the tweets are confirmed to be true by us, but we wish to keep the profiles secret to ensure personal security. However, we were able to retrieve certain tweets, to check if they were accurate or not
Based on all this information, it’s most likely the game is coming out in July, based on the pattern by their past releases, the leaked date by Amazon Mexico and by this conversation on Twitter,
