After PUBG being a mobile exclusive game in China, it seems that Final Fantasy XV might be a follow up successor as a New Final Fantasy XV Mobile Game that is exclusive to China was just announced.

China’s Family Game Conference is currently underway and there has been a series of interesting slideshows that are taking place from Japanese centric studios such as Square Enix, Bandai Namco and Sony.

Among the presenters, Square Enix has confirmed that a new Final Fantasy XV Mobile Game is headed to mainland China for 2019. We are well aware that the company has announced long term plans for the game all the way to 2018, but 2019 is quite bold.

The game isn’t the chibi-style Pocket Edition which is the console version made with the traditional Chibi art style, so this could be any game or anyone’s guess.

Final Fantasy XV was a game that has been long in development. First announced for the PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2006, the game didn’t see a release until it skipped that generation and landed for the PS4 and Xbox One in 2016. The PC version is also on its way, but the lengthy content for the game is anything but sparse.

While a spin-off game for Final Fantasy XV is taking this game down the route of Final Fantasy XIII, it is about time that we hear something new from the company about a new entry into the series instead of milking the proverbial cow for constant cash.

Among the promotional campaign for the game, they have even released a DLC that crossed over with Assassins Creed Origins and even Assassins Creed Origins is returning the favor by releasing some free Final Fantasy XV DLC for their game.

What are your thoughts on the announcement? Do you think its about time for a new entry to the series too? Let us know in the comments section below.
