Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme Vs. MaxiBoost ON is an upcoming arcade Gundam title from Bandai Namco Entertainment. The title has been announced for the PS4 and is coming out this year. Here’s everything we know about the open beta, which allows players to try out the game.

For now, the title has only been announced for the PS4. Here’s hoping it comes to PC as well, as most Bandai Namco Entertainment titles do.

From this Saturday onward, the game will be playable through an Open Access Beta every weekend. Players can try out 185 units from the Gundam universe, including the exclusive Montero and Zaku Amazing.

Both Online and Offline modes will be available for players to try out during this. The Open Access Beta will be available directly from the PlayStation Store.

Game Modes

Following modes will be avaikable during this beta.

  • Player Match. [4-18 players]. The host can choose between ‘Team Shuffle mode’ that allows users to play casually and ‘Team Free mode’ that is for users who want to team up and compete.
  • Casual Match. [4 players]. For users who want to play casually regardless of their rank.
  • Branch Battle [Offline Single Mode]. For users who want to complete missions against the AI.

Schedule

The schedule for the open beta is listed below

  • 27/06/2020 [1:00 PM AEST] until 28/06/2020 [5:00 PM AEST]
  • 04/07/2020 [1:00 PM AEST] until 05/07/2020 [5:00 AM AEST]
  • 11/07/2020 [1:00 PM AEST] until 12/07/2020 [5:00 AM AEST]
  • 18/07/2020 [1:00 PM AEST] until 19/07/2020 [5:00 AM AEST]
  • 25/07/2020 [1:00 PM AEST] until 26/07/2020 [5:00 AM AEST]

Till the game comes out, players can try it out every weekend, and access both offline and online games modes.

The game is officially coming to the PS4 on 30th July 2020. Bandai hasn’t announced any plans so far to release it on other platforms.
