LG smartphones are well known for their camera, built quality and their IPS panels. Successor to LG V20 which was an incredible feat of engineering V30 is now more powerful and sleek as compared to the older V20. Almost the bezels are gone and the QUAD HD panels look very supreme in the leaks. And the 13 MP dual lens setup is one of the main highlight of this flagship.
LG V20 was released in October, 2016 with a 5.7 inch full HD IPS display. LG called it the best smartphone of their lineup. It have a Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 chipset with Adreno 530 GPU. A Dual 16 MP (29mm, f/1.8) + 8 MP (12mm, f/2.4) camera. But this time LG is doing something truly revolutionary by announcing V30.
LG V30 Specifications:
- 6 inch QHD+ OLED 1440x2880p FullVision display with rounded corners.
- The processor will be Snapdragon 835.
- The battery would be same i.e 3200mAh as we saw on V20.
- Dual 13 MP (f/1.6, OIS, 3-axis, phase detection AF) + 13 MP (f/2.2, no AF), dual-LED flash.
- 8 MP Secondary Camera.
- Fingerprint Scanner on the back.
- IP67 rating water resistant.
- 6 GB RAM.
Camera:
As you know that the V series is popular for its camera. Last year after the launch of V20 it was the best smartphone in terms of camera quality. This year V30 will come with Dual 13 MP (f/1.6, OIS, 3-axis, phase detection AF) + 13 MP (f/2.2, no AF), dual-LED flash. The secondary camera will be 8MP. Also the developers are saying that f/1.6 will deliver 25% more light than f/1.8 and f/1.9. The Focus point of V30 is the f/1.6 aperture which is a huge change by LG.
Design:
The design of V series is much similar to G series. Rumor said that LG V30 will be similar to G6 in terms of the thin bezels and round corners.On the left side there will be volume rockers and sim card slot on the right side. On the top there will be IR blaster and beside that a 3.5mm headphone jack. On the bottom we have USB TYPE-C port. Beside that a speaker grill and a microphone.
Finger Print Scanner:
We are expecting a finger print embedded into the screen like Vivo already done this and samsung is thinking to do that on Note 9, but unfortunately as a tradition of the V series the finger print will be on the back under the dual camera. LG is also saying that it will be faster than the V20 i.e. 0.3 sec.
After the release of LG G6 which was a revolutionary change from LG for a long time with its bezel less design. We are hoping same on V30 as other companies like Samsung and Apple are designing their smartphones with bezel less screen i.e. Note 8 and iPhone 8 respectively.
LG V30 will also have USB 3.1,Type-C 1.0 reversible connector which means it will support fast charging.
Release Date:
The expected date of the announcing of V30 will be on Thursday, August 31, at IFA 2017(which will host by LG) in Berlin,Germany.
Price In Pakistan:
The Pricing of this flagship would around $700 which is equivalent to 73,775 PKR.
