Yesterday, Ubisoft announced that anyone that tuned into the Ubisoft Forward stream would receive Watch Dogs 2 on Uplay for free. However, due to an unfortunate issue in the servers, many users were not able to sign into their accounts. As a result, many users did not receive the game or any of the rewards that Ubisoft has promised. Soon after this incident, Ubisoft came forward with a statement that anyone would be able to redeem Watch Dogs 2 for free even if they were unable to sign in.
Well, now you can redeem Watch Dogs 2 for free, even if you didn’t watch the stream. The issue may have been fortunate for those that were unable to tune in on the event but wanted the game. Almost two hours ago, Ubisoft tweeted that users can now redeem the game and other rewards that were promised. Yes, the rewards that were only promised to people that watched the stream for a certain duration.

How To Redeem Watch Dogs 2 On Uplay For Free?
If you’re not registered on Uplay, we recommend that you register for an account because you only have until tomorrow to redeem the game. If you are registered, you can follow the below-mentioned steps to redeem Watch Dogs 2 on Uplay for free;
- Go to the Ubisoft Forward website.
- You will be presented with a note from Ubisoft and an option, REDEEM NOW; click on that.
- You will then be redirected to the registration page; click on REGISTER.
- From there, you will be prompted to enter your Uplay account credentials. Just enter those and click on LOGIN.
- If you’ve entered the correct account credentials, you will receive a message that you’ve claimed Watch Dogs 2 and other rewards on your account.
If you don’t notice the game and other rewards in your Uplay account soon after, don’t worry. Ubisoft has stated that all the users that redeem the rewards will receive them within this week. If even after a week, you don’t receive the rewards, you can contact Ubisoft and they will assist you. However, most of the users have reported that they received the rewards, particularly the game, within a few minutes of claiming them.
